Almost
a 3rd were new members but were soon made welcome
|
Plenty
of room to spread out and make new friends
|
The
room looks over the 18th Green
|
Still
no need for any talk or using the computer
|
It
just carried on
|
And
on
|
Bob
and John pose for a formal photograph
|
Still
no sign of letting up or geting hungry
|
A
discussions starts with the arrival of Nita
from SLA Pharma UK Ltd who had been invited
along.
|
Cath
showed off the Felt Work of her Family Tree
and will give a talk about it at The Family/Information
Day in 2012
|
Someone
had to be first.
|
No
rush though even after a couple of reminders
that lunch was ready
|
Was
John the only one eating?
|
So
ended the morning session with an excellent Hot
Buffet Lunch. Rather amazing that after two hours
we had no need for a talk or any interventation
to keep the chat going. |
Tamas
giving his presentation on the use of PGD (pre-implantation
Genetic Diagnosis or Embryo testing)
|
It
was an amazing talk given in the form of a fairy
tale.
|
Chairman
John rounded off the talks with his experience
with opticians and CHRPES (Congenital hypertrophy
of the retinal pigment epithelium) which can
be an indication of FAP.
|
John's
eye showing CHRPE whether left or right not
sure but taken at Specsavers. CHRPE is not dangerous
and even called Bear Trails by Mick's Optician.
Main point of John's talk was to raise awareness
especiall when benifical to those with no family
history of bowel problems.
|
The end of the talks and it was back to everyone
chatting and relaxing in great surroundings.
Only Mick's Travel Companion Jimby remembered
to take a few snaps showing the view after he
had watched a bit of TV of course through the
lounge.
