The FAP Gene Support
Group received an interesting request from Daniel
in Hawaii to help him raise awareness and offer help
to others diagnosed with Attenuated FAP. Daniel has
been diagnosed with Attenuated FAP which is a variant
of FAP characterized by fewer colorectal polyps (usually
10-100) later age of onset of polyps (mean age of
polyp diagnosis, 44 years) and cancer (mean age, 56
years).
On
his pages he has provided articles from MidWeek Honolulu
which we thank them for giving permission to include
the article. www.midweek.com.
Also
Daniel has written a recap of the Hawaii Relay for
Life when after taking part he was he was a guest
speaker in the evening. Actually the only guest speaker!
