FAP Gene Annual Events

In 2006 The FAP gene Support group held it 1st Annual Famil/Information Day at The Swarkestone Sailing Club south of Derby in The East Midlands of England. Numbers steadily increased until 2012 when 55 people attended and we reached the safety limit at Swarkestone. Added to our Annual Family/Information Day from 2008 were more Informal Chat Days again held at Swarkestone.

In 2011 we changed the Chat Day venue to The Branston Golf and Country Club near Burton upon Trent in Staffordshire. The from 2013 we continued with just one event a year at Branston. This became a free event to encourage more registrations and included a hot buffet lunch and hot drinks and snacks through the day.

However in 2016 this event was cancelled due to low numbers and over the winter of 2016/17 we will be looking at ways of making such days a success again.
